DescriptionCoenzyme A, also known as CoA-SH or coenzym a, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as coenzyme a and derivatives. These are derivative of vitamin B5 containing a 4'-phosphopantetheine moiety attached to a diphospho-adenosine. Coenzyme A is a strong basic compound (based on its pKa). Coenzyme A exists in all living species, ranging from bacteria to humans. In humans, coenzyme A is involved in the metabolic disorder called isovaleric aciduria. A thiol comprising a panthothenate unit in phosphoric anhydride linkage with a 3',5'-adenosine diphosphate unit; and an aminoethanethiol unit. Coenzyme A is expected to be in Cannabis as all living plants are known to produce and metabolize it.
