Description7-Aminoquinoline belongs to the class of organic compounds known as aminoquinolines and derivatives. These are organic compounds containing an amino group attached to a quinoline ring system. 7-Aminoquinoline is a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa). Aminoquinolines are derivatives of quinoline, most notable for their roles as antimalarial drugs. 7-Aminoquinoline is formed during the combustion of cannabis and is therefore a constituent of cannabis smoke ( Ref:DOI ).
