Description6-Aminomethylquinoline or 6-(aminomethyl)quinoline, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as aminoquinolines and derivatives. These are organic compounds containing an amino group attached to a quinoline ring system. Amino and methyl or aminomethyl substituents can be attached at different positions. 6-Aminomethylquinoline is one of several structural isomers of Aminomethylquinoline wherein the aminomethyl group is substituted at different positions of quinoline. 6-Aminomethylquinoline exists as a yellow to orange liquid. Aminomethylquinolines are found in marijuana (cannabis) smoke. 6-Aminomethylquinoline is formed during the combustion of cannabis ( Ref:DOI ).
