Description4-Vinylquinoline, also known as 4-vinyl-1-azanaphthalene, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as quinolines and derivatives. Quinolines and derivatives are compounds containing a quinoline moiety, which consists of a benzene ring fused to a pyridine ring to form benzo[b]azabenzene. 4-Vinylquinoline is a strongly basic compound. 4-Vinylquinoline is one of several structural isomers of vinylquinoline which is substituted by one vinyl group at different positions. Vinylquinolines are found in marijuana smoke ( Ref:DOI ). 4-Vinylquinoline is formed during the combustion of cannabis.
