DescriptionErucoyl-CoA, also known as C22:1(N-9) -CoA, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as very long-chain fatty acyl coas. These are acyl CoAs where the group acylated to the coenzyme A moiety is a very long aliphatic chain of 22 carbon atoms or more. Thus, erucoyl-CoA is considered to be a fatty ester lipid molecule. Erucoyl-CoA is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. Erucoyl-CoA is expected to be in Cannabis as all living plants are known to produce and metabolize it.
